Changing Ways disrupts violence and abuse, promoting safety for women, children, and men through vital support and advocacy.
The Challenge
Changing Ways needed to amplify their social media presence to promote The 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence campaign and event, while ensuring consistent posting to highlight their year-round programs and increase engagement leading up to their event in the new year.
Our Approach
Our work began with designing branded social media posts to maintain visual consistency and highlight their services. As part of their 16 Days of Activism, employees and community members were encouraged to film themselves leaving a pledge about how they will contribute to ending gender-based violence. To create a unifying look for these videos, we created an outro with a call to action to learn more. As their event drew closer, we developed a poster and speaker spotlight posts to build excitement.
Results
By posting nearly every day during the 16 days, we were able to significantly grow their audience and boost interactions through likes, shares, and comments, leading to increased awareness and community support for gender-based violence advocacy.
From the first to the last day of the campaign:
- Following: increased by 23 on Instagram, 7 on X, and 29 on LinkedIn.
- Reach & Impressions: 817 accounts reached on Instagram, 2.7k impressions on X, and 545 unique impressions on LinkedIn.
Conclusion
Through strategic social media management, we amplified their mission, driving awareness and engagement to their services and programs during their 16-day campaign, and amplifying the promotion of their follow-up event.
