Ontario Presents is a non-profit organization that helps bring live shows to communities across Ontario, “making sure everyone has access to engaging performing arts experiences”. They want everyone to enjoy fun and exciting performances. They support theaters, local event organizers, and touring artists. Support includes programs that help them grow, learn new skills, and connect with more people. Their goal is to keep the performing arts strong and welcoming for all.
Ontario Presents believes art is important. Art brings people together and helps us understand each other. They work to make performances more connected to communities and focused on artists. They believe in helping artists, event organizers, and industry leaders work together. They want live shows to inspire people and introduce them to new ideas and cultures.
The Challenge
They wanted their new website to be relevant, exiting, informative, and to have all of the following functionalities:
- Provide information
- Be able to launch new services or offerings with e-commerce functionality
- Job board
- Supportive membership portal
- Resources
- Blog
Their goals included to increase awareness of Ontario Presents, increase actions taken on their website, and provide a great customer service and support experience. A website that will grow with them with new services, resources, or offerings for their members.
The Solution
We upgrade their website from Drupal 7 to Drupal 10. We focused on ease of functionality with content and user management. The website included all of the features they wanted; job board, membership portal, resources page, and a blog section to feature important news.
We made sure to include the job board, and developed modules for easy postings, resulting in an easy user experience for those needing to post or apply to the jobs listed.
We linked their website with their existing membership login portal, which allows members are able to access exclusive resources available to them through Ontario Presents, like the member directory which allows members to look up or connect with one another.
The integration of a membership map allows Presenters to see how vast the network is and present opportunities in a visual, interactive manner that Presenters can explore.
